The labor market test includes checking the availability of domestic labor for a specific position. The employer must define the conditions and requirements and request the opinion of the CES. If there are no domestic workers available, the procedure for foreign workers can be continued.

Along with the request, the employer should attach an employment contract, evidence of meeting the employer’s conditions, a copy of the worker’s travel document, a certificate of no criminal charges and, if necessary, a decision on the recognition of a foreign professional qualification.

The duration of the process depends on various factors, including the time spent in the labor market test and administrative procedures. It is common for the procedure to last several months.

There are simplified procedures for citizens of EU member states, but certain conditions must still be respected. It is important to consult with the relevant authorities in order to carry out the recruitment procedures properly.
